As part of a cross-sector coalition, Reloop signed onto an appeal to Members of the European Parliament, asking them to reject any amendment to the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation which would remove the provision for deposit return systems to be mandatory.
Removing this obligation would prevent beverage packaging being collected properly for reuse or recycling.
