Reloop has joined a group of environmental organisations, manufacturers, and retailers in writing to Keir Starmer, the newly appointed Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, to urge the swift implementation of a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) across the country.
Alongside groups such as Keep Britain Tidy, the British Soft Drinks Association, Coca-Cola, and Surfers Against Sewage, we recognise the government’s pledge to “reduce waste by moving to a circular economy.” The letter underscores that the DRS, which has already undergone extensive development and is fully prepared for legislative action, represents a vital opportunity for the government to make immediate progress on its environmental agenda.
